Optical Material Division
We offer an integrative platform that supplies materials and co-develops imaging products with clients in the cellphone, camera, projector and car lens fields etc. The knowledge and capability to incorporate both up and downstream resources gives the Optical Business Unit the advantage to flow along with industry trends.

The following includes our three main divisions:

1. Materials used for the manufacturing of lens and thin film coating, including pure metals, low and high refraction materials for PVD evaporation, and sputtering. We offer new and refurbished key components for coaters from brands like: Optorun, Showa, Shincron, and Leybold. Common items supplied are: ion source, crystals, E-guns, crucibles, boats, and polycold refurbishing services etc.

2. Since the Optical Business Unit is the sole agent of CDGM glass, we offer the product line of glass in bulk, pressed form, low temperature molding glass, fly’s eye lens for projectors, and special glass GOB. We also have polishing powder, pads, and diamond tools required for polishing, grinding and refinement of precision glass, TFT/LCD, cover glass, and sapphires.

3. Key components in CCM include: optical lens, filter, and blue glass. Optical lenses with a focus of 5MP+ (megapixels) for cellphone, car lens, surveillance, and niche market sports cameras. Design of lens includes full P, G, or Hybrid lenses. Blue glass reduces ghosting or flares in the image sensor, and often comes with 8MP resolution in mobile phones and cameras.

In addition to the above divisions, our unit also offers non-optical items in PECVD for PV industry. Key parts in PECVD include graphite carriers and substrates for wafers, heaters, ceramic parts, IR lamps, and walking beams. We have also carried brazing materials from the Lucas US product line for a substantial amount of time.

PVD Thin Film Coating Materials

Our PVD thin film coating materials are used in the optical industry for both low-refraction (SiO2, SiO2 Ring) and high refraction (Ti3O5, Ta2O5) coating materials.

Uses include: anti-reflective layers on glass, color and specialty filter use in the laser technology field, as well as highly-refractive layer-systems in fiber optics like tantalum oxide/silicon dioxide multilayers for DWDM filters. These materials are available in granules, tablets, and rings.

Coating Equipment Parts - Evaporation Crucibles

Coating Equipment Parts – Filament

Filament ion beam, cathode, electron beam series are used in the optical industry for vacuum coating machines. During the evaporation process, EB tungsten filament plays a major rule for launching an electron beam to crucibles. Filaments can be customized in various forms with a lifetime of 40 ~ 60 hours. Optical Glass – CDGM

CDGM Glass is the world's largest producer of optical glass. We offer equivalent glass types for nearly all known optical glass types: ball lens, glass blanks, spherical lenses etc. These glass types are widely used in digital cameras, projectors, and CCTV lenses.

Optical Glass - Blue Glass

CDGM’s blue glass, used in various applications as an IR cut filter, is equipped to image sensors so that natural colors can be produced and respond to light as our eyes do. Blue glass is commonly used for humidity resistant filters, beginning with 8MP of resolution in mobile phones and digital cameras.

Grinding Materials, Polishing powder

Cerium oxide polishing powder in polishing glass has the following advantages: high removal rate, short polishing time, durability, and highly accurate polishing capabilities. Cerium oxide polishing powder is suitable for polishing optical glass, LCD conductive glass, cover glass, and other similar items.

Grinding –Polishing Slurry

Cerium oxide polishing slurry is suited for the polishing of hard-disk glass substrates, blue glass filters, and optical glass. Zirconia polishing slurry is suited for the final polishing of optical glass whose abrasion is above 350 degrees. Silica polishing slurry is suited for the polishing of sapphire substrates, metals, and other materials.

Grinding –Polishing Diamond Tools
